Today, I’m pleased to announce that the official website for the Shopp e-commerce plugin for WordPress is now online! We’re still settling in, so there may be a few things off here and there. It’s a bit barebones at the moment as the details of Shopp are still being finished up, so expect a lot to change as we near release. continue

Shopp Product Options

I was going to make this a reply, but the scale of the problem really seems to deserve it’s own post to drive a new discussion. As mentioned before, I went back to the drawing board to rework the product editing interface to more completely handle product options. Here’s an update with what I’ve come up with. continue

I suppose it should have been expected that there would be a few delays pop-up. Unfortunately, I’ve recently discovered a core area that has a critical flaw that I wasn’t aware of until implementing the catalog. Shopp, Countdown to Beta

Shopp is really coming together now. I’m down to the last of the functional aspects to develop, primarily in the catalog. Now we’re starting the countdown to the beta release. There is still a lot to be done, but the pieces are all falling into place. continue

Shopp Shipping

For some of you that requested to be added to the beta team consideration list know, I’ve been toiling with shipping calculations in Shopp as of late. Last week I sent out an e-mail to those who had asked to participate in the beta looking for input on what is really needed for calculating shipping costs in an e-commerce plugin for WordPress. I got a decent amount of response (thank you!) and was finally able to find a solution. continue
