The Ultrasound
I really don’t plan on posting a daily journal of my personal life here, but the occasional special event happens and this is one of them. My wife and I have been expecting (expecting a baby that is) and today had our big mid-pregnanacy ultrasound. So this morning, we found out whether we’ve got a boy or a girl on the way.
So the big news is… itsa boy! Alright, I admit it. I was wrong. I thought we were having a girl the whole time. It was a guess really, not an expectation. I’m happy enough to be wrong. We didn’t really have a preference, but it’s nice to know so we can make plans.
Of course, now that means I have to get to work on the baby room designing some mural art. I want to do something modern, nothing terribly childish. They always say kids perceive more than adults give them credit for, so perhaps not surrounding our little guy with Bob the Builder or rockets or baseball bats and other “normal” baby room themes will give him an environment he can grow into. That’s the idea anyways.
As for a name, we have picked out Ian Lee. He still has around 20 more weeks in the oven though, so it’s not set in stone… Playdoh maybe, but not stone. Yet.
